Nestling under Ingleborough, one of the famous Three Peaks, on the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The centre of the village is pretty, with narrow and winding streets centred on a tiny market place. The village's well known White Scar Caves, a mile outside the village on the Hawes road, are open to the public and have a dazzling display of stalactites and stalagmites, caverns and a huge underground lake.
Reviews
"The cottage is lovely, modern and in a perfect location. Although we had a minor issue on arrival, the owners were quick to respond and resolved quickly."
"What a brilliant little cottage. Charming, cosy and spotlessly clean. The owner, Janine, made a real effort to welcome us: jug of milk in the fridge, bottle of wine on the side and a firelighter for the log burner. Parking was no problem, and the village centre was a only 3 or 4 minutes' walk away (Co-Op, pizza place, Fish & Chips, tea-room, outdoor shop etc.). Really couldn't ask for more. We've stayed in countless self catering lets over the years and this ranks in the top 3. Thank you Janine, it made for a great holiday!"
"Such a wonderful cottage, everthing you could need for a weeks comfortable stay. Very modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Idealy located for all amenities. Walking distance to numerous pubs, shops and cafe's. Well placed for the three peaks and countless other walks too! Definitely recommend if you want a fulfilling countryside holiday."
"Just spent a week in Greta cottage. It is located perfectly. Next to all the local amenities but also on a quiet street over looking the river. The cottage itself has everything you need and is decorated to a good standard. There is no wifi and no phone reception. This is not necessarily bad if you want a week away from it all but makes it difficult contacting family. All in all a perfect cottage for a couple and is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend."
