With three bedrooms across the ground and first floor, each with TVs and en-suites, the property can sleep six people. There's also an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner, while outside is an enclosed patio garden, private to the property along with 21 acres of shared, pretty meadow. Set close to wonderful walking trails and cycling routes, yet a short drive from pretty market towns and villages, Beechwood Cottage is a great choice for a family get-together. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike shed. Private, enclosed courtyard garden with furniture plus 21 acres of communal grassland fields. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2.5 miles, pub 2 miles. Note: Home-cooked meals are available by prior arrangement with owner.

The attractive village of Great Ayton lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, at the foot of the Cleveland Hills. Great Ayton is famous for being the boyhood home of Captain Cook, and is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. The village consists of a mixture of pretty stone cottages and some new development housing. A good base for market towns, the lovely countryside and, just a short drive, the east coast.
