"8 family members have just spent a fabulous long weekend at The Grotto! It was absolutely perfect - comfortable, warm, plenty loos and it was just so so good! Andy Sayer, who owns the property made us very welcome and encouraged us to go out and about and recommended several places to visit! We will definitely be back and would tell anyone to book up quickly!"

"We found our landlady extremely helpful in providing details of places to eat and things to do in the surrounding area, as well as being very responsive to the few minor issues we raised with her during our stay, possibly "teething troubles" as we were her first group of paying guests. The house was delightful. It was clean and well presented allowing us the opportunities for person space and communal living. The garden was well kept and a joy to sit in of an evening after a day of touring to watch the sun go down over the glorious Cumbrian countryside. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for letting us share your former family home."
