Reviews
"We booked Bank House to celebrate my mums 60th. With family coming from York and Bedfordshire this was the ideal location. The house comfortably fitted 12 adults plus a toddler with enough space to feel that you could spread out. The garden was great to explore as was the surrounding area and we could only imagine what it would be like in the summer! The parking at the front of the property was quite tight but we managed to fit 5 cars on. The Miners Pub at the top of the Bank accommodated us for Sunday lunch which is only a short walk away. Definitely be coming again "
"We booked Bank House for a special 60th birthday celebration for family and friends. The house and gardens are perfect in every way and all of our party adored it. It is perfect for larger family/group gatherings and we made full use of the wonderful dining table (which can seat up to 14) by having a chef come in one evening to serve us a celebration dinner and we held a Murder Mystery evening around the table one night too. Top notch facilities with so much room to relax, play or entertain. The location is wonderful, set within a small and very friendly village with many walking opportunities on the doorstep. Two fabulous pubs are within easy walking distance where we received very warm welcomes from both landlords who went out of their way to accommodate our party of 12. Communication with the owners Richard and Jayne was excellent at all times and we cannot recommend Bank House highly enough. We made some very special memories here and would love to return in the future."
"We have just spent an idyllic weekend at Bank House in the beautiful village of Winster. First impressions are always important and the moment you open the front door into an amazing entrance hallway, we had a feeling we were in for a treat. The decor is so in keeping with this lovely house. The bedrooms are warm and comfortable with views across the incredible garden and across the valley to the hills beyond. The open planned kitchen was well equipped with everything you could wish for, with a large dining table, perfect for a lovely sociable dining experience. The village of Winster is a two minute walk away, with a brilliant store where you can stock up on any of your needs. Chatsworth and Bakewell are 20 minutes away, so there is plenty to see basically on the doorstep of this beautiful property. You can sum this experience up with one word "fantastic!""
