Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off-road parking for 1 car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pub 2 mins walk. Note: The apartment is accessed via a lift or stairs from the car park.

Given its excellent position at the northern tip of Lake Windermere - England's largest lake - Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes. The town itself is famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th Century Bridge House - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District.

"Perfect apartment in the centre of Ambleside with ideal facilities. We went in Feb half term but it was later than most schools so we had the pool to ourselves every day which was perfect. The apartment was wonderful with luxury touches and was a perfect size for a family of four, children 9 and 11. Ambleside and the surrounding areas were also wonderful. A memorable holiday!!"
