"We had a great stay at Cosy Cottage which proved to be a great base to view a sizable area of the Highlands from the Isle of Skye across to Inverness and Nairn. Very comfortable beds in a quiet location ensured we all slept well with a great shower to wash away the sleep in the morning. No problem recomending a very cosy 'Cosy Cottage'."

"This lovely little cottage was well worth the 19 hours it took us to get there. After a long and stressful journey, we arrived at midnight, so we were unable to appreciate our surroundings at first, but we were extremely grateful for the seriously comfortable bed in which to crash out. In the morning, I was greeted with glorious sunshine, birds singing, no traffic of any kind, and stunning surroundings. The garden is a real sun trap if like us you get good weather, and the cottage is indeed cosy, clean, well equipped and lots of hot water! Sue and Eddie are lovely, and although the cottage is on their property, you have total privacy in a dog secure garden, and they are close enough to call on if you need anything. For two people who live in the overpopulated South East of England, this was a peaceful Paradise away from reality, I wish more places like this existed closer to home. As we came with our dog, it was really handy to have a dog secure garden, so we could just let him out rather than one of us having to go out with him to make sure he didn't escape. There are a couple of villages close by to get basic supplies, and Inverness is about 40 minutes drive if you want to do more serious shopping. If you want peace and quiet but the option to venture out exploring, this is a gem of a place to stay, but a word of advice for dog owners. If like us you wanted to go and visit lots of castles and gardens, don't bother stepping out the door. Unlike National Trust properties, we found that you couldn't take dogs anywhere. As it was so hot, leaving the dog in the car wasn't an option, so we couldn't visit any of the places we really wanted to see, so save yourself the trouble and having to find out the hard way like us. Also, if you're visiting Glen Affric or similar places in the summer, make sure you wear plenty of insect repellant, the midges are vicious!"

"Cosy Cottage, a mile-and-a-half from Cannich, north of Loch Ness, is a well-equipped, sparkling-clean, detached single-storey retreat on a working livestock farm. It has two bedrooms and can sleep three. While private, it is close to the owners' home. It was well worth the 700-plus mile journey to get there. There's an open log fire, but you won't need it, as owners Susan and Eddie don't skimp on the electric heating. This is an interesting area to explore, with plenty of gems to find, including the beautiful Glen Affric national nature reserve, the stunning Plodda Falls and, of course, Loch Ness itself. The city of Inverness is about 40 miles away. It must be pointed out that while TripAdvisor's information says there are two bathrooms, there is actually one!"

"I booked this cottage in January this year and so pleased I did. After a 9 hour journey we arrived at cosy cottage, it was beautiful. The owners Eddie & Sue were both great. We had trouble with our car and Eddie rang a local parts centre for us so all we had to do was collect the part. Sue was full of knowledge and gave us lots of information of places and walks local to the area. The only down side was that we really could have done with at least another week as we didn't do everything we wanted. Will definitely return."

"Cosy Cottage situated just outside Cannich is the perfect place place for a relaxing holiday. The house is a real home from home with everything that one could wish for. The house is spotless and the owners are very friendly, also dog friendly. There are many wonderful walks in the area, including a day outing to sea dolphins on the Black Isle. The nearby village of Cannich has a well stocked shop and also a good restaurant."

"Located on a private road in the village of Cannich. Set at the side of the owners property on a working farm but fully fenced off so you still have your privacy but the owners are on hand if you had any queries. Very peaceful area & the cottage was spotless with every appliance you would have in your own home with bed linens & towels included. Had good wifi connection, TV & plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. Ideally situated for visiting Glen Africa, Glen Strathfarrar, Loch Ness & many more places. Would highly recommend to friends & family."

"We have had such a great time here. Our hosts Sue and Eddie have made us so welcome and everything you could ever need is catered for within the cottage. A log fire burning in the evenings it is what it says ...cosy. The garden is all fenced making it very dog friendly for our 2 labs who have had a great time walking up to Glen Affric and meeting all the sheep and cattle along the lane to the farm..The location makes it so accessible to all the other ares of interest but so lovely to come home to Cosy Cottage at the end of the day. Thank you so much"
