"We stayed here during the Great Blizzard of 2018 - such an amazing location to see the snow come in from. If anything, the pictures undersell it. The house is perfectly appointed - everything you need, with some lovely touches to make the stay a little bit special. Most importantly the heating and hot water worked flawlessly for our family - two Grandparents, two kids and my wife and I. We had the log burner on for a couple of nights just for atmosphere really, as the house was plenty warm enough. The owners being just next door is absolutely brilliant - they let the kids feed the newborn lambs, and when we got stuck in the snow on our way home, they organised a rescue effort and towed us all the way to the main road. Many thanks for that, if you're reading! Can't recommend this place enough, we hope to stay there again soon."

"Exactly what other reviewers have said! A lovely lodge, very spacious, with views over open countryside. Very tranquil. We stayed here as a family of five (one child) - our grand-daughter loved watching the horses in the field outside, and deer-spotting in the woods opposite. Yes, there is a rutted track for half a mile up to the farm and lodge (through Bentley Woods), but in normal cars we were okay, driving carefully round the potholes. The drive adds 5mins to any journey time, but worth it for the secluded location. There is a very good village shop in the next village (Winterslow), which sells everything including fresh meat and veg. The roads around there are very narrow. There are various small villages with village pubs where you can eat. Salisbury is a 15min drive away, but we didn't go there as there is bad traffic congestion due to roadworks. It's easy to go south, picking up the A36 to the New Forest, Ringwood and the South Coast. We made a day trip to the Isle of Wight using the Lymington ferry. If you have kids, the New Forest Wildlife Park is a must! And of course, driving round the New Forest, seeing the ponies. At the lodge, you make your own entertainment, walking in the woods, relaxing or playing games. But there are plenty of places within reach for days out. I only switched the TV on once, and that was to check the weather forecast! Recommended for a relaxing rural holiday."

"Everything you could possibly want in a holiday rental. Comfortable well maintained property. Well equipped. Large garden that included a boules pitch. Central heating supplemented with a log burner in the lounge. Laundry room with a tumble drier if required. Lots of birdlife in the garden - bring some seed. Sheep in the field next door and deer to be seen in the woods across the track. Easy to get to from the main road and only a few miles from Salisbury"

"Farley Lodge is 5* accommodation. The facilities are top notch. The views are beautiful. We loved going for walks in Bentley Woods and surrounding villages. Lots of lovely pubs near by. So relaxing and quiet the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Will definitely be back soon."

"What a gorgeous place to spend a weeks holiday! The house was absolutely stunning with every thing you could wish for making it a home from home. Seeing all the wildlife so close up and the peace and quiet of the woodlands was surreal! I cannot recommend this house enough! The owner was absolutely lovely and the home made cakes to die for! Would definitely visit again! Salisbury is a lovely city to visit and it's nearby which is great! Thank you for a lovely week :) "
