To the outside of the cottage is roadside parking for one car and an enclosed garden with patio space and furniture. Located in the stunning countryside, Pegge's Almshouse is the perfect romantic getaway for two.

Gas central heating. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of DVDs, games and books. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot available on request. Parking available for one car however, this is not outside the property, it is approximately 150 yards away. Owners can also arrange a parking permit for local car parks at additional cost, parking available within 5 mins walk. Shared garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 5 mins walk. Note: Bedroom door may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is an English market town with stalls, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. Many 18th century Georgian buildings remain from this period and offers a range of restaurants and inns. Those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by. Alton Towers is just 20 minutes away.

"i could feel 350 yrs of history just walking through the front door (mind your head) a wonderfully kept garden upon entry to the alms houses. A fully functioning kitchen, there is nothing not available from fridge , dishwasher, microwave even dishwasher tablets and a separate washing machine. this is a home from home and suitable for long and short stays. The bathroom is modern but retains the historical stonework feature. Bed comfy and the house was spotless, there is a tv and brilliant wifi, however you can just absorb the surroundings and really relax here. The local town contains so much to do from cafes and cakes to pubs and restaraunts, an array of endless walking and cycling. on my stay pegge's was the base for paintballing, go-karting, quad biking and archery shooting. I am writing this review and planning a return trip already."
