Reviews
"We spent a week here during February and loved it. Very family friendly. Even though it was a cold February the house was very warm and comfortable. All of the rooms are well sized and furnished to a high standard. The house is in an excellent location! It is is right next to the harbour and a very short walk to the main shopping area, with plenty of pubs and restaurants. We really enjoyed going to the Middle Earth Tavern a few minutes down the road, and mister chips (the BEST fish and chips!). It is also a short drive to various other beautiful beaches and places of interest. We recommend Falling Foss for walking. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay there again. Thank you for having us!"
"Our family stayed here for four days and enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was excellent with so much to offer. Really good beds, huge amount of information for surrounding area, and how to control or run all aspects of the house. We found the location to be really ideal for touring around Whitby, with a short walk into the town, the Abbey and the harbour. As a family the kitchen provided everything that we needed, the beds were so comfortable and we also found the neighbours very helpful in guiding us to key locations. Once parked up, we didn't need the car at all. I would also suggest visiting North Yorkshire Moors Railway, because this can offer steam trains from Whitby to many other locations, and as far as Pickering. So much fun and so much to see at each train station and surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this for a long weekend all the way to a summer holiday. We will be visiting again, without doubt."
"Arriving on a cold evening in January, the cottage was warm and welcoming. It was a short walk to town for fish and chips and to the Pavilion complex where we had tickets for a concert. On the way back we just followed the string of lights that follow the estuary and end at the house! Really comfy beds and everything we needed for a restorative stay."
"The location is fantastic - sitting right on the harbour front and only a 5 minute walk into town and then a short walk on to the historical site of Whitby Abbey (from here you get a lovley view of the surrounding area). This was a great cottage for our long weekend break - the cottage had all the amenties we needed with a well stocked kitchen, sufficient storage in the bedrooms and was very clean and welcoming on arrival. We will definitely be going back and have recommended the cottage to friends and work colleagues."
