Aurguably the most famous town in the world, with the help of the song "It's a long way to Tipperary". There is some spectacular scenery on offer ideal for cycling and walking. Tipperary town lies in the 'Golden Vale' not far from the Glen of Aherlow between the Slievenamuck Hills and the Galtee Mountains.Tipperary is a 19th century market town and is still home to some excellent 19th Century buildings and the motte and bailey built by the Normans can still be seen today, and also offers a variety of restaurants and pubs for you to sample and live Irish music as well.
