The pretty village of Kilchoan is situated on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly village in mainland Britain. The village has a shop, pub and restaurant, and from Mingary Pier there is a regular ferry service across the Sound of Mull to Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull. The area close by has quiet sandy beaches and an abundance of wildlife, and a short drive away is Ardnamurchan Point, where you will find a lighthouse and visitor centre.
Reviews
"What a lovely house. Spotlesly clean and quality fittings and furnishings throughout. Real attention to detail from the owners. The house sleeps 4 in real comfort with plenty of space and storage. Downstairs walk in shower and full WC facilities as well as a full bathroom with shower upstairs. You want for nothing here as everything is provided even cleaning materials. We even found a supply of bags for the dogs!(dog owners know what I'm on about). And yes pet friendly. The views from the living room and the bedrooms are amazing. Nice dark skies when clouds are gone as no light pollution so some great views of the night skies. Great place and we hope to return."
"Our first visit to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula - what a wild an beautiful place. Torr Solais cottage was perfect for us. Great views over the Sound of Mull and a convenient 10 minute walk from the excellent Kilchoan House Hotel. The cottage has every modern convenience, is very thoughtfully equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and the owners Jobs and Gus were really nice people. Highly recommended!"
"Spotlessly clean and well equipped cottage in a perfect location overlooking the Isle of Mull, also ideally located for a stroll to the lively, local pub."
"We stayed a week at Torr Solais Cottage and could have stayed longer. We were the third guests to stay in this brand new house and the level of quality and comfort was amazing. Walk in shower downstairs and bath/shower upstairs, Underfloor heating, Great kitchen, Comfortable beds, Wood stove and decked balcony all make this a holiday home that you look forward to coming home to ... and that's all before you get the amazing view from the balcony which is breath taking. You are only a few minutes drive from the house to the Cal Mac Ferry to the Isle of Mull. This is truly a gem."
