Llanon is a lovely village and is reputably the birthplace of the mother of St David, the patron saint of Wales. The village is a great base and is within easy reach of both the regency town of Aberaeron and the University town of Aberystwyth. Visitors to this area will find a local pub and shop, a nearby pebbly beach and Cardigan Bay, with the Wales Coast Path stretching in both directions.
Reviews
"What a wonderful little cottage in a really peaceful location. Home from home with everything you might need from kitchen utensils to picnic blankets to hairdryer, iron & clothes airer to lovely little touches around the cottage. A great little patio and garden. Great views across the fields to the sea. Watched a rabbit or 2 playing in the field and quite a few red kites overhead. The White Swan is a friendly pub with great food. The local chippy was great too and as for the local butcher, top marks for his lamb chops. Around the area there is lots to do. We saw dolphins at Newquay, red kites being fed at Nant y Arian and Devils Bridge waterfalls are worth a visit if you are fit enough! The cliff railway and constitution hill in Aberystwyth are also good. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again."
"We booked this cottage over 12 months ago to visit the area around Aberystwyth. This cottage is positioned 12 miles south of the only big town in the area. The owner Diane was very helpful, but we did have an issue with the central heating, in that invariably wouldn't come on until 8.30pm, when we would normally think about retiring. It was great to bring along our german shepherd, who loves beaches & coastal walks (even though we wouldn't recommend Aberystwyth beach, as it was covered in seaweed, and most parts not dog-friendly. I believe this property will not allow dogs from September of this year!"
