Alkborough offers a pub and a tea room, it also has things to see including the Julian's Bower maze and Walcot Hall in Walcot just outside of Alkborough. Nearby is Scunthorpe, it has a range of amenities as well as a museum and Visual Arts Centre. Barton-upon-Humber lies slightly further, with the city of Hull just the other side of the Humber river. The Lincolnshire Wolds AONB is also within reach.
