Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outisde is off road parking for one car and a decked area with furniture and hot tub with Bluetooth speaker and LED lantern. Situated on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean, Orchard Cottage is a fabulous base from which to explore this lovely part of the country. Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area.

The ancient village of Blakeney lies on the southeast edge of the Royal Forest of Dean and was once a site of a Roman Villa dating back to 75AD. Equidistant to Gloucester and Monmouth, the village boasts many 16th and 17th century buildings, with a charming 16th century coaching inn, and also offers a good selection of amenities including a fish and chip shop, village store and Post Office, as well as numerous walks and cycle routes.
