St Asaph, though small, was awarded city status in 2012, even though it boasts a population of little over 3500 occupants. Lying in the Vale of Clwyd, six miles between Denbigh and the coastal town of Rhyl, in north Wales, St Asaph enjoys a strategic location overlooking the rivers Clwyd and Elwy.
Reviews
"3 families stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a birthday. Fabulous location, pool was superb & a big hit with the children aged from 4 - 14, even older teenagers enjoyed it! Only thing to improve would be changing the 4 bedded room to a twin & adding an en-suite. Outdoor hot tub, table tennis table & games room was an added bonus. "
"11 of us stayed in this lovely large house which had a fantastic indoor heated pool, indoor games room, indoor gym a 6 comfortable bedrooms. It was very well equipped and the owners were on hand to help with any queries. We all had a fab time and would certainly go again."
"We stayed here in August 2017 and were absolutely blown away by it. With 6 bedrooms and beds for 14 people it was just luxury. There were 10 of us and this place is so big that you needn't see each other if you don't want to!!! There is huge kitchen with a table to seat everyone with an abundance of kitchen equipment. I had taken my own cafetiere for my coffee but needn't have bothered as there were two!!! There was a problem with the microwave and we called the owners......another one arrived within hours! Nothing was a bother. We got a little lost when we first got there and called him .... he talked us in! Could not get better service. Each bedroom is individually decorated and is rustic and homely - exactly what you would imagine in a beautiful farmhouse with most en suite. the living space is fabulous, again beautifully furnished and decorated with a sofa room with TV and board games all available if you want them. There is an in-between area with another huge table overlooking the garden which was another lovely place to eat. The garden is amazing, adorned with shrubs and trees with plenty space for our dog to have a good run and our son to play football and us to sunbathe and the little one to play hide and seek - are you getting the picture? There is a large patio area with table and chairs for everyone, a bbq which we made good use of and a fantastic hot tub which again was well used. There is even a mini gym if you want to have a go. We intended to do some sightseeing while we were there but the weather was so nice we just enjoyed this fantastic property and its garden and spent some real old fashioned family time together. I cannot wait to go back !!!!!"
"This is a fantastic place to get together. 6 couples meet for a surprise birthday. 6 separate bedrooms, plenty of space to sit and chat in groups so you don't feel your on top off each other. Lovely location for walks. The only thing that would make this better is to have a separate bathroom for the 4 bedded room downstairs to save them from having to go up two floors to the bathroom"
"We booked this for our 40th Wedding Anniversary, inviting all our close family and 2 dogs. We searched the internet and WOW what a surprise we got when we arrived it was fantastic, the house, amenities, the grounds and hot tub, which my 2 grandchildren really enjoyed. The location was great a nice secluded location in scenic north wales, would highly recommend this house to anybody."
