The small village of Crovie is not only pretty but is also quite unique as here the use of motor cars is discouraged and access to the single line of cottages is via a path that borders the sea. Vehicles are left at a nearby car park. At one time a busy fishing village it is now a peaceful retreat for visitors who love the charm and gentle ambience of the community. Crovie faces west onto the Moray Firth and in the summer fabulous sunsets can be enjoyed whilst in the winter months the Northern Lights can sometimes be seen. Although a real retreat Crovie is close to the many atmospheric fishing villages all along the north east coastline each with their own history and well worth a visit.
Reviews
"We've just spent a week here for our honeymoon and it was just perfect. It's lovely and peaceful. Crovie is stunning, just a row of cottages with hill to one side and the sea to the other. The cottage is wonderfully appointed and a great place to chill out."
"We loved Crovie and would go back again in a heartbeat. No 49 is immaculate, modern and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit."
"Well, what an absolutely delightful cottage in a beautiful setting right on the sea front of this amazing rugged seashore. If you want to get away to a secluded cove to re-charge your batteries, then this is where you should go. The owner is always on the end of the phone should you need anything. The cottage is probably the nicest I have ever stopped in, with a lovely big cottage kitchen. The icing on the cake is the log burner in the lounge with fantastic views across the bay. If you what to experience the wild Scottish landscape from the comfort of one of the best cottages in a secluded location then this is perfect"
"A gorgeous cottage with all modern conveniences in one of the most picturesque villages in Scotland. Gardenstown is a short walk away around the cliffs. The perfect holiday getaway."
"This was a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. A real home from home, the owner made sure we wanted for nothing. The beds were very comfortable and it was a pleasure to come back to the cottage after a busy day out. We would definitely come back to this property. Don't be put off by having to park in one of the car parks on the way into the village, it isn't as tricky as it looks and if you have children they will love the adventure. Five stars from me and my family ??????????"
