The attractive village of Ingleton offers a good range of shops, pubs and places to eat. There's also a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful riverside setting. The attractive village centre has narrow winding streets centred on a tiny market place. The village's main claim to fame is the superb Waterfalls' Walk, while the well known White Scar Caves are just over a mile away.
Reviews
"What can I say about this property apart from it being perfect, the cottage is stunning inside and out. Everything you could ask for is there at your finger tips, cosy, comfy and great location. Close to all amentiieis shops, bars, restuarants. Lots of things to do and see from Ingleton Falls walk (which is fantastic), White Scar Caves, plus all other stunning walks that can be done in the area. Enjoyed the lcoal bars, would recommend Craven Heifer, The Wheatsheaf, Top Club (which is the local working mens club - great for watching sport, snooker, pool etc. Had Sunday Lunch at the Mason's Arms which was superb. The little village has everything you can ask for, local convenience store, places to eat for breakfast, lunch etc. Wide range of restaurant for Dinner including Italian, Indian, Local chippy everything is catered for. Felt totally welcomed by all the locals, couldn't do enough for us and recommended places to go, eat, drink and visit. Would recommened staying in Ingleton, and staying at this cottage is a must. Will definitely be revisting the cottage and Ingleton very very soon."
"Had a two night break at this lovely cottage. Close to the bars and restaurants of ingleton and also the falls are in close proximity. The bed is really comfy and there was a really nice welcome pack including some gorgeous ginger biscuits. Fully equipped with everything you need. "
"This is a compact cottage, which worked well for our group of 3. Very big and comfortable double bed, and plenty of wardrobe space. Smaller bedroom just accommodated bunk beds but two adults slept in them without too much problem. Comfortable sitting room and workable kitchen in which we were able to cook in the evenings when not sampling Ingleton's pubs and restaurants. Best of all was the lovely hot shower which was a total luxury, especially after our experience in a rainstorm on Whernside, and an unexpectedly long walk back from Ingleborough when we missed our intended footpath."
"We stayed in this cottage for 5 nights over new year. The rooms were warm and cosy, the log burner kept us even warmer on the really chilly nights. Every room was well equipped with everything you could need. Our daughter especially loved the bunk beds! A lovely hamper was left for us on arrival too. The location is perfect for spending a day in The Lakes (45 mins drive) or for doing the Waterfall trail in the village which is well worth doing. We also spent a day in Malham which is beautiful too. We ate twice in the nearby Masons pub both times the food was very good. Scott who handled our booking was friendly and helpful throughout, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. All in all a perfect family mini break. Thank you "
"Just spent a week in this lovely cottage with my family. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and has a log burner which is fantastic for chilly nights. The beds are really comfortable too. It's situated in a perfect location close to Ingleton Waterfall Trail and White Scar Caves, both worth a visit. It is also close to pubs for food and drink. I will definitely be visiting this place again and would highly recommend staying here if you ever visit this area."
"The cottage is situated in the heart of Ingleton. Ingleton Falls is a 10 minute walk away. There is pub directly over the road and two others in walking distance. We would recommend the Masons Arms just a short walk away. The cottage offers comfy beds, cosy log burner and the all the amenities you need for fantastic break away. There is a outside decking area with outstanding views. We visited in September for a relaxing weekend break and would definitely return."
"Just fabulous! A comfy, cosy cottage with everything you need for the perfect stay. Everything is right on the doorstep including the outdoor pool (get there early), fabulous walks and lots of pubs and eating establishments! Would highly recommend the cottage and will definitely be staying again! Thank you"
"We have just got back from 3 nights in this beautiful cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated, the kitchen fully equipped and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The log burner at night was a perfect end to our day. Perfect location with the start of ingleton falls, local pubs and shops just a short walk down the road. The wifi was excellent. We will 100% be back "
"Located in a nice little town with great access to the Yorks 3 peaks. House itself is very comfortable - a great place to come back to for a big pot of Yorkshire tea and some curd tart after a hard day in the hills."
"The cottage was beautiful, modern & everything was brand new, spotless. The bed was so comfy & we both slept like a baby. The location was lovely, walking distance from local pubs, shops & restaurants. We would definitely recommend & cant wait to go again "
"Had a fabulous stay at the cottage . loved the log fire was so warm and cosy beautiful cottage highly recommend"
"Great time had by all! Lovely cottage with great decor. Lots of pubs to choose and some great walks if you can pass the pubswill be back for certain."
"We stayed here in June as a party of four. Two adults, a 15 year old daughter and our dog (very pet friendly place). The cottage has been beautifully furbished with all the rooms decorated to a high standard and extremely comfy. Everywhere was spotless on arrival and the cottage is very well equipped. The WiFi is excellent which you'll agree is essentialif you have children that are at the Ipad or Iphone age to prevent ear bashing that comes out of boredom. If you have younger ones then there's a great film selection for all ages in the coffee table. The decking at the back overlooks the countryside. This was my favourite spot for a morning cuppa and a read of the paper. In the evening was a glass (bottle) of red and the kindle. The cottage is situated only a few minutes walk from the village centre which has some really nice places to eat in. There's a tapas restaurant which is lovely and we also sampled the Indian which didn't disappoint. If you're like me and refuse to cook on holiday then for breakfast there's some really nice cafes on the same street as the cottage. My personal favourite is the second one the right as you walk in to the village. The girls in there were very friendly and food was delicious. It even opens on a Sunday. The start of Ingleton Falls walk is only 10 minutes away by foot which is handy. No need to take the car. The village is just off a main "A" road which runs from the M6 and the lake district is all within easy reach. Overall I would highly recommend staying here for any duration and we'll certainly going to be going back."
"Fantastic cottage. Exactly what we booked once we arrived. Great location for exploring. Inexpensive place to stay. Loved every moment we were in the cottage. Already booked again for next year. Highly recommended."
"Recently returned from the fabulous getaway cottage, 2 children, 2 adults. The cottage has everything you will ever need for your stay whether it be for a weekend or longer, luxurious furnishings throughout, and I have to say the most comfortable bed I have slept in. The log burning fire was especially nice, very cosy. The kitchen had everything required, I love to cook and was very pleased with all of the equipment. If cooking isn't your thing fear not as there are ample, and I mean ample places to visit, all of the pubs we visited were extremely warm and welcoming, and the food was fabulous too. Overall this is a 5 star ?????????? accommodation in a five star village. Oh don't forget to walk the waterfalls, very spectacular and just 3-5 mins walk from the cottage, and the same to the pub G "
"Just spent two days at the cottage, and it's so lovely! Very homely well equipped kitchen, lovely comfy bed! And beautiful log burner! Glass of wine sat by the log burner after walk round the falls was great! Thanks x"
"Fantastic 3 day stay at the cottage, enjoyed the local scenery, walks, and pubs. The locals were very friendly and helpful. We took the children to the local climbing wall which was a great experience. The cottage itself was beautiful, very comfy and the log burner on at night was a delight. The owners were great to deal with and very helpful even left us a bottle of bubbly ! Can not wait to return in the summer."
"Patting myself on the back for another great find. We arrived far too early on Thursday only to be warmly welcomed by Malcolm who showed us around the newly renovated cottage. We quickly settled in and had time for a great walk on the waterfall trail in beautiful sunny weather (partly our reason for arriving so early as the weather for the rest of the weekend was not so promising). The fully equipped kitchen came in handy on Thurs eve as there wasn't much open in the village mid week so early in the season. Great shower and super comfy bed oh and better not forget the log burner. Lovely to settle down in front of after a day out in the fells! We biked on Friday - the area is great for road riding with plenty of quiet country lanes. Equally good for mountain biking if you head the other way into the hills. The cottage has a great view out back with decking that will be great for a glass of wine on a summer evening. Great excuse for us to come back again. Can't wait :-)"
