Berts Cottage is an attractive barn conversion in the hamlet of Heights near to Appleby-in-Westmorland in Cumbria. The cottage provides upside down accomodation and can sleep four people in two ground floor bedrooms as well as a ground floor bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a first floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. To the outside is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed patio garden with furniture. Set in a stunning location, Berts Cottage is a great place to relax and enjoy at any time of the year. Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking on courtyard for 2 cars. Enclosed patio garden with furniture. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shops restaurants and pub 4 miles. Note: Not suitable for children under the age of 7 years due to open staircase.

The town of Appleby-in-Westmorland lies in a loop of the River Eden and is overlooked by the Pennine range with the Lake District Fells showing on the western horizon. Set at the heart of the Eden Valley, this is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England and was originally the county town of Westmorland. Appleby is nestled between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales, so guests can enjoy the contrasting scenery of these two national parks, plus numerous walking and cycling opportunities as well as the fantastic leisure centre in the town.
