Gas central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Facility for secure bike padlocking. Artificial grass courtyard with furniture. Street parking, first come first served basis. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Steep stairs, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: The owner is a PGA professional; golf coaching is available by prior arrangement with the owner with the use of SkyTrak golf simulator with projector, together with arrangements for playing golf at Silloth.

The popular seaside resort of Silloth, situated amidst Cumbria's Western Lakes and Coast, nestles on the shores of the Solway Firth. Facing the hills of Southern Galloway and backed by the Lake District Fells, Silloth is renowned for its invigorating but mild climate, its leisurely and peaceful atmosphere and perhaps, most of all, its glorious sea views and sunsets, fine enough to be recorded for posterity by Turner, the famous landscape artist.

"Location of The Dormie House is ideal for touring the area. The view from the property is beautiful - straight over the golf course - very relaxing view, especially first thing in the morning when the mist is laying. The local amenities, shops, petrol station etc. are a very short drive away. The Fairydust Emporium is an absolute must for ice cream lovers and the dog was made more than welcome. The only down side was the lack of 'dog friendly' pubs/restaurants in the immediate area. The Cumberland Inn less than 100 yards away from The Dormie House don't do bar meals now apparently - even though their website says they do, apart from Sunday lunches & to be honest, the place never seemed to be open anyway. The Albion is dog friendly but don't serve food. All in all we had a lovely stay & Bev the owner is lovely & welcomed us with bread, milk, jammy doughnuts, butter, a lovely bottle of Prosecco and doggy treats for Ben."
