It was the constant 28 degrees centigrade of the bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs that originally attracted the Romans to the town. However it was during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, that the Palladian splendour of the Buxton of today was designed and built - including the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens and The Opera House.

"The apartment is right in the centre of Buxton. It is very modern inside, extremely well decorated, clean and had everything we needed. The major downside was the noise from outside that went on till gone 4 in the morning, we all had an awful nights sleep, which was a real shame. Would not return because of this."

"Just back from a three night stay at Eagle Parade and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The apartment was lovely- clean, very tastefully decorated and had everything you could possibly need to make for a comfortable stay. The owners had gone out of their way to make the apartment welcoming and comfortable and there were even complimentary wine and chocolates, as well as a welcome booklet when l arrived. The apartment itself is a stones throw away from the bus stops to places such as Manchester, Bakewell and Matlock Bath, as well as being only minutes away from all of Buxton's main attractions. I was incredibly impressed with this place and would wholeheartedly recommend."
