"A perfect cottage in a lovely quiet location. We travelled with three young kids. It was extremely well equipped with a lovely enclosed garden and a beautiful outlook. The interior is lovely and spacious. The kitchen is amazing! Locally there is plenty to do. I would not hesitate to recommend it and we definitely plan to return. "

"Why would you return to the same place 3 years running unless it was wonderful?! The photos are exactly what you get - no clever photo tricks to make it look better than it is. Kitchen is fully equipped for hassle free cooking. The decor and linen are beautiful and to a very high standard. The two downstairs bedrooms and one bathroom meet the needs of elderly/disabled. The owners are lovely (living just down the road) and very happy to assist in the event of any queries. The location is great for touring the Peak District, plenty of beautiful locations within a short distance - whether you like towns, stately homes, cute coffee shops or walking."

"I think my friends and I were blown away by the amazing cottage and gardens. The interior was simply fab and so very modern especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. If I could give this cottage 10 stars, I would. It was so clean and the beds were extremely comfortable with good quality bed linen and pillows. I usually take my own pillows when I go away but left mine in the car as the ones provided were fine. I know it's a little point but I have been to so many hotels and guest houses were you wouldn't even want the pillows in the bedroom, never mind laying your head on them. The bathrooms had everything you could possibly need and were spotless. We all decided to take it in turns to cook for the 3 days we were there and it was a pleasure to do so in such a well equipped kitchen. On arrival the owners had left us a fresh cake and a couple of bottles of wine. There was also the essentials such as cooking oil, sugar, foil, cling film etc etc. Nice little touches. The gardens were immaculate and there was plenty of room to eat al fresco, with tables and chairs already outside. The driveway was ample and took our 3 large cars very well. There is absolutely nothing to criticise about lea hay at all. We met the owners who were lovely and they asked if there was anything they could do to improve the cottage. We all agreed it was perfect. Thank you so much to carol and joey (carol's daughter) for the obvious hard work they have put into creating such a wonderful home for people like us who wanted a very relaxing break in an wonderful environment. Best wishes from us all, bill, carol, nigel, dee, paul and diana."

"I have just returned from a week in the Peak District and cannot rate Leahay highly enough. I didn't want to leave. The accommodation is beautiful and it really felt like a home from home. I feel very lucky to have found this little gem. Communication with the owner was great and we (1 couple and 2 single adults) arrived to a lovely welcome of cake and wine and treats for the dogs (we had 2 little ones). There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with 1 shared bathroom - huge shower and free standing bath and a further 2 bedrooms on the first floor each with their own shower room. A fully equipped kitchen (probably better kitted out than my own home) a dining room with table and chairs and a lounge with tv, dvd player and stereo. There were table and chairs on the lawn and at the gravel area at the side of the house. The whole house was immaculate and furnished to a very high standard - beautiful! Beds comfy and plenty of towels provided. I would recommend staying here for all the comforts of home in an excellent location. We ate in the Miners Standard - a lovely country pub - 3 nights. This is a short drive from the cottage or a walk across fields/footpaths if you fancy it. Excellent food - great portions and reasonably priced. We were a short distance from Bakewell and Matlock - both having plenty of shops and food places, I would recommend a visit to the Heights of Abraham - fab day out. All in all a perfect holiday in a perfect house - please can I come again? Clo"

"Situated in the wonderful village of Elton. Fantastic spot and a good base to explore. The Limestone Trail only a short walk away. Stunning views. Driveway large enough to hold 2- 3 vehicles, with space in the road if needed. House is stunning inside. Extremely clean and very well equipped. Owner very friendly and helpful. Dogs allowed, however the garden is not dog proof. Would highly recommend."
