Llanfechell is a small village situated one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, on the northern tip of Anglesey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village gets its name from the nearby 12th century Mechell Church, which has been extended over the years and where it is believed that St Mechell is buried. The ancient Parys mountain copper mines are just two miles away, with their lunar-like landscape and the area is popular with geologists and archaeologists due to the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the several ancient monuments scattered around, reputed to be some of the oldest in the world. Llanfechell is home to a village pub, which serves traditional ale with a warm welcome.
Reviews
"This was our second family stay at this property , but we didn't comment on it last year and we feel it well deserves a mention. Modern, clean, comfortable and well maintained.lovely property. We took our dog and had a fab time. We met the owners this year H and Rich and they are wonderful people and couldn't do enough for you. If you need to know any local information they are more than welcome to help. Well recommended to all Anglesey holiday makers."
