"The location is good, beautiful view from living and master bedroom, all beaches, supermarket, attractions nearby. We couldnot find the cottage at first ,missed twice ; Also food delivery guy other day couldnot find it in one go too. So a sign board in main road entering side road would be helpful. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated. The extended dinning room was good for our 4 year old. There was xmas cookie and oat biscuits along with tea, coffee and milk in the fridge to start with first days. But I must say living room was very cold, if log burner fire on the rest of the cottage stays cold as heating board was in that room. There was no toilet tissue upstairs toilet and kitchen tissue either. We had to ask for hairdryer and owner suggested we buy , she later paid back. I think everyone expects the basic things other then extra requirements. The field in front full of gazing lamb was most charming factor of the cottage to me. The owner offered us to stay later then checkout time which was really kind I thought. I would say cottage is ideal for other season then winter. ."

"We had great weather. The location is excellent. Sykes Cottages rated this property as five ticks. We felt this was a little misleading. It shows the difficulty of not having an alternative Independent grading. Its true that what you need is available. Our feeling is that furniture needs an updrade. Others have said the Owners are attentive. This was not the case for us. They did not even greet and show us round. Opening windows on a hot day can be difficult in some rooms. Items that would be usual such as hand wash etc was not replenished. We enjoyed our week but will not return. Properties of the same price exist with better quality,"

"Just spent a great holiday here with my husband and 2 children. The cottage is in a nice quiet area on the outskirts of Scarborough but within walking distance of the town centre. The cottage has lots of original features so is full of character and has been beautifully refurbished to include all mod cons. The kids loved the board games and the comfy beds! Thank you Trish and Simon, I'm sure we'll be back in the future. "
