Reviews
"Stayed here a couple of weeks back! Views are just incredible. Felt very much at home here! After travelling up the drive, which was slightly uneven but this was stated before booking, it was totally worth the stunning views. If you are looking for a relaxed quiet trip, then this is for you! It was everything it promised and more!"
"We have just had a lovely week away at this property. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing spot then this is for you. It stands on its own in the middle of farm land, you wake up to sheep & cows looking at you. It was comfortable & clean. Overall we had a great time there but a few things would make it much better i feel. There is no washing line but they provide a washing machine, which i found odd,we bought a cheap line & tied it between posts. Could of done with at least 1 more tv & a better sky package wouldnt go amiss (very limited channels) The games room is just a pool table & dartboard which needs updating, they are very worn. More garden furniture needed, only a picnic bench & small metal table. No bbq? A hot tub would also be great & add to the relaxed atmosphere taking in the lovely scenery. The owners son was friendly & sorted out a new toaster when we informed him it was broken. The drive is very uneven & steep in places, you can only use 1st gear up & down it. Overall it was a good place to stay."
"Well what a weekend! If you want a secluded family home in the countryside- this is definitely the place for you! We stayed at coed y gaer for a girly weekend as a get together before Christmas and we were certainly not disappointed. After being greeted with mulled wine, mince pies and a lovely wreath in a hamper we knew the weekend would be a special one! So the lovely decor and the cleanliness of the place was not a surprise to us! Less than a 15 minute drive into the nearest town for a cheeky cocktail and ideal for a long walk for us all to shake the cobwebs away! Would definitely stay here again... And very soon we hope!"
"We had a wonderful week in this adorable cottage! Was so cost and had everything we could need. Lots of room for our 5 teenagers and stuff for them to do. Rooms were beautiful. Thanks for putting up a Christmas tree and decorations, made it even more special. Thank goodness for the WiFi as that kept all the kids happy!! Would love to stay again!!"
"The location is stunning and peaceful - wildlife is directly outside the back door. We saw, owls, buzzards, foxes as well as the local sheep, cows, donkeys, and some beautiful garden birds but without the countryside smells. The house has large sized rooms so the family can either be altogether or have their own space. We have three teenage boys so the pool table was fantastic. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed breakfast in the garden most days. The owners were very friendly and attentive and solved any problems we had. There was a wonderful starter pack of food waiting for us on our arrival. The house was also a very good base to visit both Shropshire and North Wales - we even ventured to Liverpool one day. Oswestry is the nearest town and is only a 10 min drive away and has a variety of shops and supermarkets. The beautiful town of Shrewsbury is also not far away - here the boys enjoyed swimming and a fun climbing wall centre. We also visited Welshpool and went on the light railway; Llangollen with its river activities, steam train and canal; Chirk and Penticyllin have impressive aqueducts you can walk or if you are organised you can book a day narrowboat. If you are going in high season we would suggest doing your homework and booking several activities in advance as we missed out on the day boat and a white water rafting experience. If you don't mind driving you can get as far as Llandudno and back in a day, so we also went round the Great Orm and on the cable car where the views were spectacular. We would definitely recommend this property as a peaceful retreat and a good base for visiting the area."
