The small village of Glyndyfrdwy is situated close to the small tributary of the River Dee, just under 4.5 miles from Llangollen. The village is renowned as the home of Owain Glyndwr where, in 1400, he proclaimed himself Prince of Wales and so began his 14-year rebellion against the English. Today you can still see Owain's Mount - the eroded remains of a 12th century castle motte. Glyndyfrdwy also has a shop and two village pubs.

"Have just returned from a four day break with friends, and miss this beautiful place already. Bethan and family provide guests with everything they could possibly need in this stunning and immaculate building set in breathtaking panoramic views, Even if you don't feel like hitting the hills, this is just the perfect place to relax and take in the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. We have all said the same great things about this place and will be sure to head back. Cannot recommend enough. Diolch yn fawr"

"An absolute faultless cottage; the cottage, the location, the local amenities, I can't say a negative thing about it. The only thing would be the road to the entrance of the owners property, but that it's outside the owners control. Even the minor issue we had in the cottage was addressed very quickly and correct. My biggest concern would be that it won't be available anymore when we want to stay again because it is booked full. I suggest a visit to the British Ironwork Centre while staying the area."

"Would recommend anyone to stay here! really enjoyed my week away, the hot tub in the early morning or late night is super relaxing. The owner is lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is stunning, secluded on your own mini farm land where sheep freely roam around outside of the gates. We took our dog along with us and the long walks tired him out which was great! Can't fault this place one bit. :)"

"We stayed here very recently 29th September to the beginning of October 2017 and it was literally beautiful inside and out! The owner went above and beyond to make us feel at home and the cottage was so clean! The cherry on the cake has to be the most stunning view from the outdoor jacuzzI. Me and my family are already booking to come back soon and we can't wait as we had the most relaxing long weekend. The cottage has gorgeous decor and you feel like royalty. You won't be disappointed!"
