Two bedrooms: 1 x second floor king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request), 1 x double. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area. Sitting room with woodburning stove.
Aban Cottage is a pretty, semi-detached cottage in Harome near Helmsley, sleeping four people in two bedrooms. The cosy sitting room features an attractive stone hearth and a woodburning stove. The country-style, well-equipped kitchen includes a large dining table. Upstairs, there are two beautiful bedrooms offering delightful countryside views; a double is located on the first floor and on the second floor there is a king-size double which can be made into a twin room on request. Outside, there is roadside parking and an enclosed pretty patio garden. Aban Cottage provides the perfect base for a wonderful holiday. The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Electric central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking outside property on first come, first served basis. Enclosed patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 3 mins walk. Note: The second floor bedroom has sloping ceilings so there may be limited headroom. Note: The cottage stairs are steep, a handrail is provided but they may not be suitable for all guests. Note: No children under the age of 8 years. Note: The neighbours have right of access down the side of the cottage and through the garden.

Situated on the edge of the North York Moors, visitors to the pretty village of Harome can be sure of an idyllic place to stay. Lining the main street is a lovely selection of old stone cottages which surround the central feature of the village - a wonderful duck pond. Two excellent inns - one of which sells local produce - make up the settlement's amenities, but just three miles away is the prestigious market town of Helmsley, with its historic market square surrounded by hotels, shops and tea-rooms. The town boasts a 12th century castle whilst the English Heritage site, Rievaulx Abbey, is also close by. The outlying area is excellent walking country and ramblers can enjoy exploring the surrounding moors with their hidden dales and villages.

"Very well equipped cottage, cosy, spotless and peaceful. Lovely basket of goodies on arrival and one of the owners Terry was on hand to show us round. One of the best cottages we have holidayed in. Beautiful view of fields opposite. So handy for the coast and moors and we ate twice in The Pheasant in the village which seemed to have the edge over its Michelin-starred rival The Star. Sorry to have to leave for home - always a good sign!"
