Chester boasts a very small area evidencing every period of history; from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including shopping in and around the Tudor 'Rows' and walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through Grosvenor Park. Further afield, the Welsh mountains and coastline, the market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula are all within easy reach.

"Cosy and comfortable, met all of our expectations and more! Everything you would need to enjoy your stay is provided in Elv cottages. The cottage benefits from safe car parking, and a lovely hot tub! It was walking distance into the centre of Chester and there were beautiful views of the river Dee to enjoy on the walk home. Gaynor (the owner) was on hand to provide us with excellent recommendations for places to visit and places to eat... we could enjoy these places in a short drive each day. Overall 10/10 experience and we would highly recommend to everyone."
"I didn't expect this to be honest and when I say this,it's because it is extraordinary!The personal touch in every little thing that the cottage offers is truly amazing and you can see that the owner went above and beyond to make the guests at home! It is a home far from home that makes our holiday perfect!"
