This immaculate single storey cottage is in an incredible setting and sleeps up to two people in one bedroom. Ground Floor: Lounge. Kitchen/Diner. Bedroom with double bed and en-suite wet room with shower, WC and washbasin. Utility Room with WC and washbasin.

Foxgloves is an immaculate, single storey cottage just a short walk from the River Tavy and Lopwell Dam. The breathtaking Lopwell Dam and nature reserve can be found on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and the location is nothing short of idyllic - a haven for wildlife. The Bere Peninsula Cycle Route runs nearby, and the Tamar Discovery Trail begins at Lopwell, offering excellent walking and cycling in a stunning rural landscape. The cottage shares with the friendly owners two acres of grounds, which were formerly part of Lord Roborough's 6000 acre estate. You are welcome to explore or simply enjoy the beautiful views from the private patio. Inside, Foxgloves is beautifully finished, and thoroughly well done - a perfect choice for that 'special occasion'. The lounge is warm and spacious and the kitchen well equipped, though you may be tempted by the delicious lunches served at The Old Pump House cafe on the banks of the Tavy nearby. Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

"What a beautiful place, just a short walk down the hill to Lopwell Dam and a 5 minute drive to Dartmoor and it's ponys .Heather and Alan were great hosts ,they have a great place here at foxgloves, set in a wonderful garden of their own home with many different types of tree and shrubs all creating a year round peaceful setting where you can just chill out especially on the seat under the magnificent copper beech and take in the view down over the river tavy . Fifteen minutes drive and you are in Plymouth or the other way and you are in Tavistock with its Pannier Market and a lovely walk along by the river .Just a short drive and you are in Cornwall with its many harbours and attractions .Heather and Alan recommended a lovely pub in the nearby village of Peter tavey where we had a really nice meal from their well varied menu .We look forward to our next stay here ."

"We have stayed at Foxgloves for the past 3 years and have throughly enjoyed it. The weather was absolutely fantastic the sun shone all week. The cottage is 5 Star situated in a beautiful area both accessible to Devon and Cornwall. The owners are extremely welcoming and happy to help with anything that was needed, however they are no way intrusive. The surrounding garden is beautiful and the owners are more then happy for us the to explore there grounds. This cottage is a most to visit. Cannot wait to go back."

"This cottage is absolutely perfect for couples or a single person, who wants a piece of heaven. The cottage is much bigger than the photos would lead you to think. The setting is absolutely perfect, overlooking the River Tavy. The cottage is immaculate but cosy at the same time. It is very well equipped and to a very high standard. The owners are very welcoming, and happy to help with anything. However, they are in no way intrusive. The gardens are beautiful and the owners are happy for guests to explore it. It is teeming with bird life and I would have been happy to spend the entire holiday in the garden. There are some wonderful walks in the immediate area, and many beautiful gardens and historical buildings to visit. This is a must visit cottage and we are definitely going back. Loved it."
