Outside there's off road parking for one car and a front seating area. France Fold Cottage is a wonderful base for a romantic retreat with plenty to see and do in the area, including the Peak District National Park.

The large village of Honley is situated close to Holmfirth and is set on the banks of the River Holme. The village has a selection of shops and pubs, along with a Grade II listed church, with the remains of a set of stocks in its grounds, and Honley hosts an annual agricultural show.
