In a truly idyllic position and in the heart of the beautiful unspoilt countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula, lies the 100-acre estate of Talhenbont. Full of immaculate cottages that have been thoughtfully renovated to the highest standards, this is one of the finest self catering retreats in Wales. With range of on-site amenities, such as an all weather tennis court, outdoor chess, numerous pet animals and "The Quackery" - which houses a great variety of birds - guests will be spoiled for choice before even leaving the estate. There are a number of great activities outside of Talhenbont, however, including a one and a half mile stretch of river which provides excellent walks and safe areas for children to play or paddle. This river has also been made a designated habitat for otters and offers salmon and sea trout fishing. In addition the area offers castles, beaches, golf courses and the Snowdonia National Park.
Reviews
"Entrance hall light blown - no replacement found. Took about five hours for property to warm up. First morning - no electricity, no central heating, no hot water, no means of cooking. Plumber eventually arrives. Control unit on cast iron range has blown. He also finds other "botched repairs". Range not immediately repairable. Sykes Cottages take several hours to find alternative property. This was my younger daughter's 21st. birthday"
