Reviews
"Booked this break last minute for three nights, the lodges have been refurbished to the highest quality, very clean, welcoming and child friendly. Park was very quiet , we have visited in a very busy peak season but this was lovely. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Everything you need is in the lodge even dishwasher tablets. will definitely be returning."
"The park was fine. Views were great of Ullswater as the park is right on the lake). It is a fairly short walk to Pooley Bridge and the steamer so you don't have to drive and pay for parking. We chose the cheapest cabin and it wasn't at all luxurious, but it had what we needed - 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen which had lots of utensils, TV, electric radiators in the bedrooms. There was no safe place around the cabin where the children could play (two boys, 3.5 and 1.5) as one way led to the road and the other way led to someone elses cabin (we found our youngest in the other peoples cabin on the day we arrived). It was a bit dark inside and on the days where it rained it wasn't really that nice to stay in and relax so we went out to find inside activities. But overall it was fine - probably better suited for adults or people with older children. There are other much nicer cabin types in the Park which would probably be better to stay in if you pay a bit more..."
"found site by the directions given with ease, when arived got warm and helpful responce from staff, the site was clean and although full with campers and children everyone seemed to enjoy, great views and easy acess to lakes by car.The cabin was clean and pleasent for stay shop and food all on site also eating places around area. The only thing is its very hilly on site so if you are not to clever on your feet would not recommend this site.but on the other hand if you love walking and scenery you will be at home."
