Pooley Bridge is only 1 mile away with a traditional village inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The historic market town of Penrith is within 5 miles and has numerous shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, golf course and driving range.

"On Parkfoot now in this beautifull Holiday Home in Pooley Bridge, sitting on the balcony with stunning views. The house is modern,lounge up stairs so you can see the views. The site is closed at the moment but it really does not matter as so much to see and do out and about, the reception is open with very helpfull staff if you need anything. Very big site so in peak season there will be much open for all your needs i would expect to be very busy. Would recommend to everyone."
"Fantastic and spacious accommodation, very clean and modern, wonderful views over Ullswater and tucked away nicely for privacy but not too remote so you still access all the amenities. Would definitely look to return at some point."
"The upstairs living area was very spacious and nicely decorated and the kitchen was equipped with all modern kitchen appliances. The balcony/upstairs patio had a good view of Ullswater Lake and was a great area to relax in. Bathroom areas and bedrooms were new looking and clean. The on-line photos do not quite give it full credit. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and will return before long."
