"Situated in an ideal spot for reaching the bustling town and not far from the picturesque Derwent Water, this lovely and spacious house really had everything we needed. A nice open living-dining area was great for the children and the rooms were very cosy and the whole place had a homely feel. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and hope to return again next year!"

"This cottage is located on a quiet street within a 10 minute level, easy stroll from the centre of Keswick. Our party consisted of 2 couples, so the 3rd (single) bedroom wasn't used. On first entering the cottage, we were all surprised at how roomy it is, especially the kitchen. The patio outside the back door is very small (only a tiny table and 2 chairs) but as we stayed in chilly March, this wasn't a problem. There is a large bathroom, with a bath, separate shower enclosure, wc, bidet & basin. The double bedrooms are bright, with plenty of drawers and hanging space. The largest bed has a firm mattress, which I found very comfortable, but my daughter thought the other double was a bit on the soft side. The large cupboards on the landing were great for storing our suitcases. Parking is on the street, but we always managed to get parked within a few feet of the door. Our only gripe was the lack of instructions for the cooker, but we managed to figure it out. We had a very enjoyable week in the cottage, and would certainly consider it again for a winter break."

"Great service from the lakes cottages team. The house was lovely, warm & practical. wifi was great surprise. Location is great for town with plus of free on road parking. Would like more cooking equipment/dishes and a dishwasher to take the rating to excellent."

"Booked through the Lakes Cottage Holidays website which was excellent. Confirmation email provied directions/informtion on where to pick up cottage keys. The cottage was very nice, clean and comfortable. With the exception of computers and wifi it had all the modcons one would associate with a modern family home. It had good facilities for cooking, sky tv, radio, also a good selection of books and board games. There isn't any garden however the cottage is a short walk (less than 10 mins) to Fritz Park where there is an excellent children's playground. While there is no guarantee that one would always get a parking space right outside the cottage there is usually enough places further along the street. The nicest thing about this cottage is perhaps its location. It is not so close to the centre of town that you'll find crowds right at your doorstep but still close enough to walk into town rather comfortably. The only downside to the cottage is perhaps with one bathroom between five people (3 adults and 2 children) it could be rather tight on toilet/bathroom time."

"This was one of the best cottages we had stayed in .The living space was very roomy and well equipped. The cottage was very clean and tastefully furnished. The location was perfect for us as we were attending the convention and also great for walking in the area and we often walked from the house which meant that we didn't have to use the car very much.It was big enough to be able to have family and friends for a meal and pop in for coffee which was a feature that we liked best."

"The property was clean and functional. Located close to the centre of Keswick within easy walking distance. We picked up an excellent Indian 10mins walk away on the first night. The common areas were spacious and my 21 month old is much better with stairs now as the stair was accessable from the living room but had shallower steps than she was used to at home. The beds were not what was described. The blurb said king size, twin and single. It was actually double, double and single but that suited us. The biggest bedroom was spacious and the beds were adequate. The shower was ok but not great(I didn't use the bath. The travel cot was provided but the single room was not big enough to put it up without turning the single bed on its side. I had an issue with the sound of the tv initially but had good enthusiastic responses from management and it resolved itself while we were out. Generally had a good stay enhanced by the dwelling at a reasonable price."

"We have just returned from spending 4 nights at Inglewood, it was spotlessly clean and tidy, spacious even had nice comfy sofa's which is rare in my experience of self catering accomodation! Excellent facilities and lovely and warm, nice big bath ( just what was needed after a bracing walk on the fells). We would certainly book it again. The only thing to consider ,there is no garden, so may not be the best place if you have children who want to run about in the summer. There is a tiny yard outside with a small table big enough for 2. But for adults wanting to explore the lakes its ideal, nice quiet street, 2 minutes walk from the centre, but far enough away to avoid all the mayhem at the height of the season!"

"Our group of 5 thirty-something adults stayed at Inglewood over New Year 2012. We were really pleased with the spacious living and dining room. We could all comfortably sit and eat, and there was plenty of room for our walking gear. The little entrance hall at the back also served as great space for wet boots. The kitchen is impressively sized, but with little food preparation space. The hob and range is fantastic in terms of size and gas powered so great for cooking for a full house. Given the size of the house the fridge was disappointingly small - we turned up with our Xmas leftovers and some New Year tipples and struggled to fit it in. Had we planned on eating in every night, storing dinner, snacks and lunches would have been a challenge. Given the size of the kitchen, it was a shame not to find a dishwasher, and coupled with the impossibly small washing up bowl clearing up became a bit of a chore. Upstairs the bedrooms were well sized, and had good storage (even in the single) Add on the extensive airing cupboard and there is no shortage of space. We were divided on the hardness of beds (as were the other guests judging from the guest book). We found ours too hard and we have a firm bed at home. The mattress didn't feel well sprung, gave no support and we resorted to lying on our pillows to cushion our hip bones. The bathroom is also large but the shower cubicle is small, barely enough room to bend over. Yet there is plenty of free space in the middle of the room. With a full house we quickly saw how with the benefit of a re-planned room and a stud wall you could arrange a separate loo which would have been beneficial. The house is well positioned for Keswick, and parking wasn't often a problem though you couldn't always get right outside. Decor-wise, the house is nicely decorated, clean and feels new. In short, would we stay here again? Not unless the mattresses were addressed, I need all my beauty sleep to climb the hills."

"Good location close to town centre and walks, but nice quiet street. Very clean and warm with everything you need for a comfortable stay."

"A lovely, clean, modern, spacious house. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt at home. We are a family of 4 with a 3 month old baby and the house still felt spacious even wth all of the baby equipment we took. The kitchen was very well equipped and the range cooker was a pleasure to use. The upstairs is as nice and spacious as the downstairs, with lots of wardrobe and cupboard space. The location could not have been better, just a 2 minute walk from the town centre and 5 minutes from the excellent children's park and the leisure pool. The only addition we would've liked was Wifi as there was limited network coverage and no 3G. (I appreciate this would not appeal to all!). We will definitely return and will be recommending the house to all our friends."

"Inglewood is a great little cottage, conveniently located and well presented. We really enjoyed our stay. There were a few little things which would be improved: the grill only seemed to work in half the grill area (but the top of the oven functioned well as a grill). Some instructions for the washing machine/drier and the range cooker would be useful. The bannisters have a large gap which is potentially a problem for small children, this could easily be fixed."
