Cowslip House, AXMINSTER

"This house is very special. So much space. Didn't use the garden due to time of year we visited, but even in the winter, you tell it is lovely. Ideally situated to stroll into town to see Axminster or pop up the road to the A35 to take you off to investigate 3 different counties! Perfect access to Devon, Dorset and even Somerset."

"We recently had a three night break with our two friends and had a most enjoyable stay. The house was exactly as listed and spotlessly clean. The owner Christina visited us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. We had a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and even a bottle of Prosecco. The house has a really homely feel about it , the bedrooms were really good sizes with huge comfy beds. It is ideally situated for many places to visit, including Lyme Regis which is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed here with our baby daughter in June 2019 and had such a lovely stay. The house is both spacious and cosy and we did feel really at home here. The lounge is a lovely place to relax in the evenings and the big bedroom was extremely comfy. Our daughter loved exploring the house and the conservatory and garden! The owner, Christine, was also very helpful and on hand to answer any questions we needed. Thanks for the wine, milk and biscuits! :) I'd definitely recommend staying here if you want a nice break. While there isn't a lot to do in Axminster itself, it's close enough to so many places (Lyme Regis, Charmouth Beach, Seaton) we didn't really notice."

"We stayed at Cowslip House for a week in February. The weather was as might be expected, but it did not matter because the house was so lovely, warm and welcoming. The rooms are all large and beautifully furnished with period pieces. The super-king bed, in the grand master bedroom, is deliciously comfortable, as is the equally large bed in the pretty second bedroom. The kitchen-diner is spacious, modern and attractive, equipped with everything you could possibly need, and it leads into a lovely conservatory, overlooking a pretty landscaped garden. It was an ideal place to unwind, in comfort, with many thoughtful extras provided by the owners to make our arrival and stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Definitely recommended!"

"Cowslip House is a delightful house on the outskirts of Axminster. The owner, a lovely lady, was there to meet us and show us around, and could not do enough for us throughout our stay. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly want. also, the house and garden was very dog-friendly, with good dog walks adjacent to the house. We had a number of lovely trips to the beautiful Jurassic coast that is only a short car ride away. We had a lovely holiday and hope that we can return one day."

"We stayed here for a week in November with our two dogs. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable and the garden is safe and secure, there was a footpath right beside the property leading to good dog walking in any weather, no need to put them into the car to go for a walk. Owners very friendly and helpful."
