Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction
Reviews
"A picture perfect chocolate box cottage - thatched roof and tucked away in a quiet valley just minutes away from the coast. Fabulous garden - deceptively large, terraced, with many garden 'rooms' and beautifully maintained. Superbly appointed inside - just watch the low beams or you'll keep banging your head like I did ! A very minor gripe is that the beds were a little firm for our liking but in all other respects absolutely first class in every respect. The surrounding area is rather beautiful too - Lyme Regis just a few minutes away and other enchanting coastal villages like Beer and Sidmouth less than 20 minutes away too. Countryside is jaw-dropping. All in all a great cottage in a sublime location. Thoroughly recommended."
