Reviews
"Lisa's Cottage scratched our itch for a relaxed, cosy holiday after a busy few months. The cottage itself exceeded our expectations. The decor gave the cottage so much character and was so beautifully put together. The little touches around the property gave it a personal feel. The cottage made a great base for all our exploring with some great sights and pubs all within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this to any couple who are looking for a quiet getaway and the chance to spend some quality time together in a stunning location."
"Arrived at the accomodation, entrance is through a shared alleyway, parking of vehicle is almost impossible, I had to park literally 500yards away, as the street has only 4 parking spaces which is Supposed to allow parking for 12 properties, at the rear the "garden" is laughable at best, it is a tip, it is actually a YARD and the other 2 properties who share the same yard 1 uses it to grow potted plants, which are literally everywhere, the picture shows an iydilic little area.....it's AWFUL, there is also only 1 exit from/to the property, which is via the front door, if there is a fire inside at the front door, then there is no safe way of escaping the fire, to us this was/is a major problem. Besides all the above, we were only able to stay for two days as my wife had to undergo a last minute operation to remove a lump, which we were advised was cancerous, I informed the owner of the situation and asked would she be willing to return part of the money we had paid, she refused but offered us a return stay out of season, or a member of our family could go back, but this was impossible, so we had to pay out again for another holiday at a hotel in bowness, so my wife could get a break before her operation, when I spoke to Lisa her response was staggering..she said and I quote....."what is the purpose of your call today? I'm running a business....." Would I stay here ever again....NEVER."
