Reviews
"I booked this cottage as a surprise for my husband and me, we both needed a break time to relax and chill out, boy did this place deliver. We parked the car on the drive for the first 3 days and walked everywhere, Lymington is lovely, really nice individual shops, good restaurants, pubs and the harbour is less than 5 minutes walk away. We took a day trip to the Isle of Wight on the ferry and explored the New Forest. The cottage was spotlessly clean and has obviously been totally renovated to a very high standard, fully fitted out with all the appliances and gadgets to make life easy, we loved it and would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing break or a base to explore this lovely part of the country."
"I am a student and live in Brighton and this weekend away to Lymington was just what me and my partner needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Brighton. The property was lovely, just a minutes walk away from the station and is only a few minutes walk from the high street. Inside is cosy and contemporary, with a subtle 'port town' theme to reflect the town of Lymington and really make you feel like you're on holiday! It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with all appliances you'd need to make dinner if you fancied a night in, or a make a cooked breakfast after a few too many at one of the charming local pubs. On the high street you'll find a lovely array of small shops and delicious restaurants. As a vegan we did not struggle at all to find vegan options when choosing a place to dine, there was something there for everyone, I recommend the Thai restaurant 'Koh Thai'. During the day we hiked down a couple of Lymington's 'walk trails' through the marshlands and towards the new forest, as well as visiting the museum and the port and some shops. As we do not drive we didn't end up visiting the new forest but knowing that they have coaches that can take you, it is an activity we will definitely do next time. The Saturday market is also something not to be missed if you're there on a Saturday. Overall we really enjoyed the trip, it felt a shame to be leaving so soon and so we will most definitely be returning!"
