Reviews
"We booked for 3 nights but only stayed 2, we arrived 10 minutes early at 2.50 but the owner seemed suprised to see us,said time had gotta away from her. The hut was open, fresh milk and cake avaliable she talked us through the woodburner which was lovely and how to lower the bed. Noticed the table hadnt been wiped on closer inspection after she had left. The hut really is lovely and we enjoyed the beautiful views. I went in the hot tub and read my book. This was fantastic and i enjoyed looking up at the Roaches which we walked up the following day. My partner didnt want to use the hot tub due to the strong chemicals so maybe to more sensitive skin not recommended. The downside was the Wi-Fi didnt work. We connected the Monday briefly but then nothing, this didn't matter during the day as we were out but was frustrating in the evening when you want to wind down and whats app family or google local places to go. There was a folder with place to go but it was a little outdate one for a flower show in 2017. We told the owner about the wifi Tuesday, she said 'all the lights we're on the box' my andriod and partners IPhone both said 'internet may not be avaliable' we did all the tricks to get it working but failed. I used all my plans data through the time there, Wednesday she called a tech to come fix it but he never appeared. The owner was apologetic. By 7pm we just thought we'd head home. Over all it was a lovely little place and if you arent bothered at all about using the wifi perfect for you."
"Had a lovely 7 days here in the sherherds hut, was delightful and cosy, cake & milk on arrival, the views are amazing as is all the scenery in the area. Only complaint was the hot tub was not the big private one in the sykes pictures, but a smaller one in not a very private place next to the breakfast conservatory. Other than that would stay again as in such a quite relaxing position, wi-fi I could only get if stood outside near back of the hut"
"When we arrived at the hut, we couldn't believe how lucky we were to have found such a great place. Lorna ( the owner) had left us some gorgeous home made cakes for when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The views were truly stunning from our hut door. The hut was really cosy and had every thing we needed for self catering. If you manage to book this amazing hut then you must also try the wonderful hot tub. We loved it after a long walk on the Roaches. We would definitely visit again"
