Porthmadog is on the Glaslyn Estuary and is the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park It has individual shops and restaurants and the Ffestiniog Railway travelling through scenery to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is nearby. Be sure to also visit Harlech and Caernarfon.

"As I was on placement in the area I stayed at Cnicht View for 8 weeks. I found that the flat had all the amenities that i needed, and Carol was very helpful if i needed anything. The flat is very cosy, clean, lovely little kitchen and tastily decorated, it also has beautiful views of the harbour and mountains. Great location, lovely walks down the coastal path and the beach the other side of Morfa Bychan is stunning even in the winter!"
"Cnicht View was clean, well equipped and had lovely views over Porthmadog harbour. It was very quiet yet close to all the amenities. In addition to the harbour and mountains, we could see steam trains coming and going across the Cob. Only point to note there are 38 external steps up to the flat and the internal staircase is very steep - not a problem if you are fit. Parking is easy."
