Levens is set on a high promontory in beautiful countryside and ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. There is a lovely old church, general store/newsagent and a pub. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Nearby Kendal is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. Other attractions such as Kendal Museum, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach.
