The market town of Beverley houses a splendid Gothic Minster and a twice-weekly market. The town is steeped in history; construction of the Minster began in 1220 and continued until 1425 and over the centuries has been continually added to. Other historical building include Ann Routh's hospital, an Almshouse built in 1749, the Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms to name a few. Beverley has a wide variety of shops, eateries and other amenities but is within reach of York, Bridlington and Hull with their own excellent attractions.
